Giving back to the community and beyond is extremely important to Susan. While studying in California, she was able to give free treatments to senior citizens that otherwise would not have been able to afford care. She had the privilege of volunteering with Acupuncturists without Borders in New Orleans after hurricane Katrina. While there she worked with a team to give stress relieving treatments to survivors as well as first responders and those continuing to rebuild the city. Currently, she volunteers once a week at Core/El Centro in Milwaukee's Walker's Point neighborhood. At Core/El Centro she provides acupuncture treatment to individuals who otherwise may not have the opportunity to have access to natural healing care.
Susan prides herself on taking the time to listen to her patients and answer their questions in order to dispel any fear or confusion. It is of utmost importance to her that each patient feels comfortable and safe during treatment and confident about the course of the treatment.
